Privacy Policy

Effective August 4, 2026

Growpost (“Growpost,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI-assisted writing tool that helps you draft content and adapt it into variants for different platforms, which you then copy and paste yourself. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a Growpost account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google instead, see “Google Sign-In” below.

Content you create

We store the drafts, prompts, and AI-generated platform variants you create in Growpost so you can access and edit them later. If you upload media or import images from a connected source (such as Google Drive), we store what you choose to import.

Usage and device data

We collect basic technical data automatically — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps — to keep the service secure and to understand how it's used.

2. Google Sign-In

If you choose “Sign in with Google,” we request only your basic profile information through the openid, email, and profile scopes — your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this solely to create and authenticate your Growpost account. We do not request or access your Gmail, contacts, calendar, or any other Google data through this sign-in flow.

3. Google Drive Access (Optional)

If you choose to connect Google Drive to import images into your posts, Growpost requests the limited drive.file scope. This scope only grants access to files you specifically open or select through Google's picker inside Growpost — we cannot see, list, or access the rest of your Drive.

We use this access solely to let you import media into your drafts. Growpost's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use data obtained through Google Drive for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties except as needed to provide the import feature or as required by law. You can revoke Growpost's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Growpost service
  • To generate AI-written drafts and platform variants from the content you provide
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests
  • To monitor, debug, and improve the reliability and performance of the product

Growpost does not connect to, post on, or otherwise act on your behalf on any social media platform. Generated variants are yours to review and paste into each platform manually — we never publish anything for you automatically.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate Growpost:

  • AI generation: the text you submit for rewriting is sent to our AI model provider (OpenAI) to generate variants. It is not used by us to train third-party models.
  • Email delivery: transactional email (magic links, verification, notifications) is sent through our email provider (Resend).
  • Infrastructure: hosting, database, caching, and file storage providers that keep Growpost running.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Growpost and its users.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your Rights

You can access, update, export, or delete your account data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and access controls — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

9. Children's Privacy

Growpost is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the product before they take effect.
